The project ‘Bellano tra Arte, Storia e Fede. I Custodi del Patrimonio’ (Heritage Guardians), aims to enhance the cultural sites of Bellano and involves local young people, called Heritage Guardians, who are passionate about history, art and faith. Thirteen sites, including churches, exhibition spaces and museums are the focus of initiatives such as guided tours, special openings, events and workshops.
Pro Loco di Bellano, the project leader, has as partners the “Associazione Insieme per il Museo di Vendrogno”, the Parish of Ss. Nazaro and Celso in Bellano, the Parish of San Lorenzo in Vendrogno and the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Lacrime in Lezzeno, while the Municipality of Bellano grants the use of its own spaces.
The project is financed by the Fondazione Comunitaria del Lecchese, Lario Reti Holding, Silea and Acinque.
