On Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 May 2025, the eighth edition of the International Music Competition ‘Bellano Paese degli Artisti’ will be held in Bellano (LC), an event organised by the Municipality of Bellano in collaboration with the Istituto Comprensivo Mons. L. Vitali.
The last editions had as artistic director Professor Michele Chiascione, a guitar teacher at the Istituto Comprensivo Mons. L. Vitali, while the first editions were organised by Professor Michele Santomassimo, the creator of the competition, who is now part of the jury.
The Competition, which has always been a great success in terms of registrations, will take place at the Palasole, in via T. Grossi 19 in Bellano, which will be the setting for the performances of 36 instrumental groups including orchestras and choirs and 130 soloists of different musical instruments, from piano to guitar, from violin to transverse flute, from singing to electric guitar.
The musicians, protagonists of the competition, come from the provinces of Lombardy, but there will be performances by orchestras from other regions of Italy.
The jury will be composed of guitar teacher Michele Chiascione, piano teacher Michele Santomassimo, violin teacher Elena Colella, modern music teacher Mauro Cattaneo, transverse flute and music teacher David Monge, and teacher Antonio Scaioli from the Como Conservatory.
