First exhibition that symbolically returns the space of the former workers’ club to the Bellano community. The title is inspired by the poem ‘The Rain’ by Jorge Luis Borges and, by asking artists to participate with works freely inspired by the flower, aims to be a ‘dedication’ to the artist Giancarlo Vitali in the year of his death. Joining Jan de Vylder in the project are architects Mario Botta and Ugo La pietra, Gianni Pettena and artists Alessandro Bazan, Davide Benati, Enrica Borghi, Ferdinando Bruni, Letizia Cariello, Marco Cingolani, Gianluigi Colin, Caterina Crepax, Roberto Fanari, Giovanni Frangi, Marcello Jori, Francesco Lauretta, Michela Martello, Franco Matticchio, Lorenzo Mattotti, Brigitte Niedermair, Massimiliano Pelletti, Donato Piccolo, Luca Pignatelli, Bruno Ritter, Ferdinando Scianna, Bernardo Siciliano, Vladimir Sutiaghin, Oliviero Toscani, Rakusan Tsuchiya, Alessandro Verdi and director Franco Piavoli. Finally, two Lilies, pencil drawings by Giovanni Testori, who was Vitali’s mentor and performer, and a wax rose by Alik Cavaliere that was never cast.
