Bellano Cinema

Free admission, no reservation required, subject to availability

On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., the Bellano Cinema will host a public meeting with Francesca Fialdini, author and well-known Italian television personality, in conversation with Bellano writer Andrea Vitali.

Known to the general public for successful programs such as Le ragazze and Fame d’amore, an award-winning Rai3 format dedicated to eating disorders among young people, she recently participated with great success in the 20th edition of “Ballando con le Stelle” on Rai1. Francesca Fialdini will present her latest book Come fossi una bambola (Mondadori, 2025), dedicated to the theme of emotional dependence and dysfunctional relationships.

The meeting will be an opportunity to explore, in an open and participatory discussion, central and current questions: what are we really looking for in a relationship? When does the desire to be loved turn into a need or even an addiction? How can we break the cycle that keeps us tied to dynamics that humiliate us, restoring dignity and freedom to our feelings?
The book is the result of Francesca Fialdini’s meeting with psychotherapist Massimo Giusti and collects true stories of people who have managed to escape suffocating and invisible relationships, emotional prisons that do not always leave marks on the skin but which, day after day, inhibit every vital impulse. With narrative clarity and psychological rigor, the book sheds light on complex dynamics without judgment or simplification, offering tools for awareness and recognition that many can relate to.
The event is part of the rich program of celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the Bellano Cinema, confirming the role of the theater as a place of culture, dialogue, and civic discussion.

Free admission, no reservation required, subject to availability

On the morning of March 17 at 10:30 a.m., Francesca Fialdini will meet with students from the Mons. Luigi Vitali Comprehensive School in Bellano at the Bellano Cinema for an event dedicated to them.

The meeting will be based on the book “Nella tana del coniglio. Quando la lotta con il cibo diventa un’ossessione” (RAI Libri, 2024), in which the author recounts some personal stories of those who have fought against addictions and eating disorders. These are testimonies from young men and women who have chosen to face and overcome anorexia and bulimia – disorders that affect about three million people in Italy – through complex but possible paths marked by fragility, a “hunger for love,” and a desire for redemption.

To address the issue with rigor and responsibility, the journalist enlisted the collaboration of Dr. Leonardo Mendolicchio, also exploring the clinical and medical aspects of what can be considered one of the most significant emergencies of our time.
The meeting with students will be an opportunity for listening and dialogue, aimed at promoting awareness, prevention, and tools for understanding issues that closely affect young people.

The meeting at 10:30 a.m. is also open to the public with free admission.
