TEDxBellano – 3rd Edition

The project, launched in 2023 with the event entitled “LAGO della Bilancia” and in 2024 “VICE VERSA”, welcomed over 300 visitors in the magnificent location of the Orrido di Bellano and the videos of the speeches were shared on the official TEDx channel which has over 41 million subscribers.

Today continues with the 2025 edition with the theme ‘Jumping into the void’.

27 June 2025 – Orrido di Bellano

Emptiness is a condition that frightens and fascinates, that invites one to reflect and, at times, forces one to stop.

Man has always wondered about its meaning, trying to understand it and, often, to fill it.

Philosophers, scientists and artists have tried to define it: from a total absence to a space full of possibilities.

But what does emptiness really mean? And, above all, what to do?

Emptiness is inevitably ambivalent: it can be perceived as a distressing absence, as a half-empty glass, a gap or a loss;

but it can also be seen as a fertile space, ready to welcome what does not yet exist.

Its essence, then, is not just a lack to be filled, but a dimension to be confronted with, offering choices: fill it or leave it empty.

At TEDxBellano 2025, we want to explore emptiness in its many forms, nuances and perspectives.

What are the voids that drive us to create?
Where, instead, is it necessary to leave space for nothingness?
How can emptiness be an engine for innovation, introspection or change?

Emptiness is not always a negative point of arrival: it can become a starting point. Emptiness, by its very nature, is an open, undefined space that invites change.

This makes it a place where it is possible: to build, to create new ideas, relationships and projects.
