The beauty of the Orrido

The literary review

The literary review ‘Il bello dell’Orrido’ (The beauty of the Orrido), promoted by the Municipality of Bellano and the ArchiViVitali ETS Association, was created in 2019 by Armando Besio on the suggestion given by the Orrido, the deep gorge carved out by the Pioverna river that represents a natural attraction of wild beauty in Bellano, a true ‘magnet’ for visitors of yesterday and today.

‘Il bello dell’Orrido’ is a calendar of meetings held monthly on the stage of the Bellano Cinema, in contrast to traditional festivals.

The review animates the autumn, winter and spring months and is addressed to locals and to general public. With free admission, it welcomed contemporary authors, cultural personalities from the worlds of theatre, art, music and journalism who explored the concept of the sublime and the wonder of the horrid.
